Dr. Poer is one of the most experienced retinal surgeons in
central Indiana and has been practicing in Indianapolis for
over 30 years. He is an ophthalmologist certified by the
American Board of Ophthalmology and by the American College of
Surgeons. He is also a member of the Christian Medical and Dental
Association. He was trained at the University of Michigan and

Dr. Poer's largely referral-based practice is limited to medical

optical coherence tomography, ultrasound, automated visual fields,
and more.
Patients are treated at Dr. Poer's Indianapolis office, adjacent
surgical center, Community Hospitals and St. Vincent
Hospitals in Indianapolis. Twice a month, he sees patients at
the Richmond office.

Spiritual
Beliefs
I believe that God has been trustworthy, good and full of grace
through all of life's disappointments, challenges and personal
failures. He is amazingly good and I take comfort in Jesus' promise
from John 16:33:
"In Me, you may have peace. In the world, you will have
tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the
world."
It is remarkable that God has chosen to live in all
believers.
My priority is to know and love others with the love of God
("...that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection and
the fellowship of His suffering..." - Philippians 3:10)
and to serve each person as an individual worthy of the highest
level of excellence and attention. I am committed to serving in a
way that best meets each individual's needs and for as long as he
or she needs my assistance.
